The theory is that thinner string diameter means less pitch deviation between frets, and lower tension means a softer finger touch, which prevents finger pain and also makes fast playing easier. The secret to playability is that each string is made two sizes thinner. The thinnest A string is a thickness that only this manufacturer produces. Characterized by a clear, glossy tone in the high frequencies with good sustain. The notes are well-balanced, producing a good sound for both fingerstyle and strumming. Pitch is stable due to minimal expansion and contraction with changes in tension and temperature.

Recommended for those concerned about pitch deviation. They are accurate because they are thin. For example, after tuning, you might check the pitch at the 3rd fret. If the tuner display shows a different note, it's a common issue with ukuleles due to their short string length. That's where these strings come in. Thin = shorter diameter = less wobble when pressing the fret = consequently, the pitch is accurate. Octave pitch is also improved.
